Several storm systems will bring rounds of gusty winds and rain to Germany this week.
Northern Germany will face the brunt of the rain and wind this week as storms cut over or just to the north. However, southern Germany will also get showers at times with an uptick in winds.
The next storm will bring a round of wind and rain across northern Germany on Wednesday. While the rain will not be heavy enough to cause flooding, it will still lead to a wet morning commute on Wednesday.
Motorists will likely face lowered visibility at times and folks will want to grab their umbrellas.
“Winds of this magnitude could lead to sporadic power outages and tree damage with rough seas endangering small craft along the northern coast,” AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Kristina Pydynowski said.
Communities across southern Germany will likely be spared with the heaviest rain and gustiest winds on Wednesday. However, there will still be a few showers around and increased winds for a time.
As quickly as this storm leaves Wednesday night, another one will be right on its heels.
A low pressure system will cut across northern Germany on Thursday and will again heighten the threat for gusty winds and rain. This storm system is expected to track farther south than the previous storms and will likely lead to more widespread impacts.

This storm is expected to be the strongest one this week. Periods of rain will soak northern and central Germany with showers across the south again. Wind gusts with this storm will be stronger inland across central Germany, with gusts up to 89 km/h (55 mph) possible.
Sporadic power outages and fallen trees are possible during this time. Motorists will need to use caution when driving, especially at night in the rain.
The stormy pattern is expected to continue right into the weekend with more chances of rain and wind.
Temperatures will gradually drop through the week but will still remain above average across Germany. The persistent storm train will continue to usher in mild air through the middle of the week and will prevent any cold air intrusions from occurring through at least the weekend.
