Sliding temperatures and wintry conditions will linger across the Detroit area into the end of the week.
Early in the week, high temperatures will hover in the teens, plunging Detroit into a deep freeze with AccuWeather RealFeel ® temperatures nearing zero degrees Fahrenheit and subzero temperatures at night.
"A clipper storm will bring the potential for a few inches of snow into Tuesday," AccuWeather.com Senior Meteorologist Dave Samuhel said.
If headed out on the roads, stay alert to rapidly changing conditions with MinuteCast® to track rain down to your precise location.

Temperatures will continue to slide through Thursday, sinking into the single digits before the weekend.
The chance for snow will return with flurries across the city into Thursday, Samuhel said. However, lake-effect snow bands will develop across western Michigan and could reach the far-western suburbs of Detroit.
