The brutal cold that has been in place around Cleveland will continue through Friday, but it will be temporarily erased over the weekend as relatively warmer air moves into the region.
High temperatures will continue to stick around in the single digits and teens as the week comes to an end.
"Dangerous and near-record cold will persist through the end of the week," said AccuWeather.com Meteorologist Ed Vallee.

A weak disturbance will bring a light period of snow Friday night into Saturday and could cause slippery travel. A light coating to perhaps an inch or two is possible around the Cleveland area.
A much stronger system will begin to take shape over the weekend and will bring temporary warmth to the region.
The term "warmth" is used loosely here because temperatures will continue to be below-average. However, temperatures will rise into the upper 20s F to mid-30s F which is a big jump compared to the single digits and teens that were felt during the week.
