Chill to Replace Rain for Mardi Gras Festivities

Revelers in New Orleans can forgo umbrellas but not jackets for Mardi Gras festivities on Tuesday.
Tuesday will feel dramatically colder than Monday with temperatures being held roughly 25 degrees below Monday's high.
Jackets will be a necessity as brisk winds cause AccuWeather.com RealFeel® temperatures to start the day in the 20s and recover only to the 40s in the afternoon.

A high in the middle 60s and a low in the upper 40s are more common this time of year.
Clouds will limit any sunshine attempting to warm the city.

The chill around New Orleans will not end with Mardi Gras. Wednesday and Thursday will remain cool despite plenty of sunshine.
A return to more milder weather, along with showers, will come Friday through Saturday.
