Seasonably humid and warm weather will remain in the Atlanta area through next week with the chance of showers and thunderstorms each day.
While Friday will be slightly cooler with cloudy skies, the humidity will linger into the weekend, AccuWeather.com Meteorologist Erik Pindrock said.

"It's still going to be humid with a mix of clouds and sun," he said. A chance for spotty showers and storms will increase in the afternoon hours each day of the weekend.
Stormy weather will also persist due to an approaching cold front.
"A cold front approaching for the northwest will bring another chance of showers and storms to Atlanta on Saturday," Pindrock said.
Highs will hover around 85 F throughout the weekend.

"It's still going to feel like summer," he said, adding that Sunday's weather will be almost a carbon copy of Saturday's.
"That front gets hung up nearby and the chance for showers and storms will remain," he said. "It's still going to be rather humid."
The front will likely stall, causing the stormy, humid weather to linger into early next week, with no foreseeable dry air to move into the region anytime soon, Pindrock added.
"Temperatures may drop off a little by next week, but the chance for showers and storms will persist," he said.
