Inclement weather may have played a role in a deadly plane crash in Brazil which killed Brazilian presidential candidate Eduardo Campos and six others. The Associated Press reports that there were no survivors.
The AP reports that the plane crashed around 10 a.m. local time (9 a.m. EDT) in a residential neighborhood in the port city of Santos, located in the state of Sao Paulo in southeast Brazil.

Authorities tell the AP that the plane was attempting to land in bad weather.
According to observations from Guaruja airport, located within few miles from Santos, low clouds and rain was reducing visibility significantly between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m., local time, and thus may have been a factor in the crash.
