Storm to Cause Extensive Airline, Highway Disruptions

A storm will target over 100 million people, dozens of major highways and many major airline hubs from Texas to Georgia, New York and Massachusetts this week.
The major cities from Dallas to Atlanta, Charlotte, N.C., Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York City and Boston will be hit in some way by this storm.
Even far away from the storm, across the nation, aircraft and crews may be displaced for the days during and following the storm.

These disruptions can potentially lead to hundreds, of not thousands of flight delays and cancellations.
While ice and snow will be less severe west of the Mississippi Tuesday, compared to areas farther to the east Wednesday and Thursday, even a thin coating of ice and an inch or two of snow can cause significant travel disruptions.
