In the wake of another dose of accumulating snow and a wintry mix in Pittsburgh Monday night, warmer weather will follow for the balance of the week.
Expect slow travel and disruptions to daily activities Tuesday morning in the wake of the snow and ice from the night before.
However, rising temperatures will cause melting snow by day Wednesday into Friday.
The melting alone this week expected can be enough to cause street flooding and flooding in poor drainage areas.
Depending on how much rain falls Thursday into early Friday, there could be significant rises on streams and rivers, especially if ice jams develop.
Lower temperatures over the weekend will slow the rate of natural melting.
