Polar-Vortex Air Heading for Minneapolis

Bitterly cold air is on the way for Minneapolis as the polar vortex dips again into the United States.
Daytime highs will range from the low single digits to the low teens. Nighttime lows will be below zero through at least the upcoming weekend.
It has been 35 years since there has been a winter this cold in the Minneapolis area.
The mean average temperature during the meteorological winter, which runs from December through February, is 10.3 degrees, the 11th coldest on record for Minneapolis, according to the National Weather Service.

There is a chance of snow up an inch on Monday night but it will be dry for the rest of the week.
