Rounds of showers and thunderstorms will affect Portland and parts of interior Oregon through Thursday.
A slow-moving storm system will drift inland from the Pacific Ocean into the end of the week, producing showers and thunderstorms along the coast.
As this system encounters some tropical moisture over the interior, locally severe thunderstorms will erupt east of the Cascades.
A few locations over central and eastern Oregon and Washington can be hit with large hail and damaging wind gusts.

Over the weekend, the storm system will move toward the northern Rockies and high pressure will build in from the west. This will allow a warming and sunny trend over the region.
