After a bit of a cool spell, rising temperatures will make the end of September and beginning of October feel more like August.
High pressure will build over the Four Corners helping to heat up the weekend. As sunshine continues across southern California, afternoon highs on Saturday and Sunday will near 90 degrees.
Sunday will be the brightest and sunniest of the two days for those looking to hit the beach or to catch a few waves.

In the evenings, mainly clear skies will allow for chilly nights as temperatures drop into the upper 50s to lower 60s.
To begin October, skies will remain mostly sunny on Monday but clouds will creep in on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Beginning on Wednesday, temperatures will drop back down near the city's average high into the upper 70s.

The Los Angeles area, like most of California, missed any of the moisture that shot into the Southwest in the past few weeks. Higher temperatures and a continual dry conditions will make for an increased risk of wild fires through the weekend will low humidity and gusty winds around.
