Though fall has officially begun, some summerlike warmth is still clinging to Chicago.
After temperatures in the upper 60s kicked off the week, the mercury climbed to 70 degrees Wednesday. Sunshine was abundant throughout the daytime hours.
Nighttime skies will remain clear to partly cloudy throughout the entire week.

Warmth will build as the week progresses, reaching the mid to high 70s by Thursday and Friday.
The best days to get outside and soak up the sun will be through Friday, before clouds and the possibility for a storm arrives Saturday afternoon.
