A break from the humidity pushed into Boston Tuesday night, and less humid conditions will continue through the rest of the week.
The same cold front that brought gusty storms to the mid-Atlantic on Labor Day tracked eastward Tuesday, bringing showers and thunderstorms to the Boston area. It brought another round of flash flooding to some communities, as well as locally strong winds and hail.
High pressure will fill the Northeast, rushing in lower temperatures and humidity. Gone will be the sticky afternoons, replaced by cooler Canadian air. Overnight lows will be chilly compared to recent days, as temperatures dip into the 50s before the end of the week.

Along with the change in temperatures, sunshine will also move into the region for the rest of the week. After another day near 80 degrees on Wednesday, high temperatures will be closer to 70 degrees Thursday and Friday, with a chance of a shower Thursday.
