Santa Ana Winds Return to Southern California

Moderate Santa Ana winds are forecast to return to Southern California early next week.
Generally, sustained winds may be 20-40 mph with gusts to 50 mph on Monday and Tuesday through and below canyons in areas typically impacted by Santa Ana wind events.
Travel could be tricky at times for high profile vehicles, such as semi-trucks or campers, according to AccuWeather Expert Senior Meteorologist Ken Clark.
Garbage cans and other loose objects outdoors could be tossed around by the wind. It is not out of the question that a few branches could be downed by the highest gusts, so isolated power outages may be possible.
The winds will howl as a large area of high pressure builds into the Great Basin.
It will remain cooler than normal in the Los Angeles Basin early next week, before temperatures rebound at midweek.
