A surge of warmth will build across much of England during the middle of the week while a storm system unleashes showers and gusty winds from Wales to Northern Ireland and Scotland.

In the warmest spots in Scotland and Northern Ireland, temperatures will climb to 21-22 C (70-72 F).
This warmth will be erased on Thursday as a storm from the Atlantic brings more seasonable air to the U.K.

Rainfall is not expected to be heavy but will be disruptive to any outdoor plans. The storm could also cause minor travel delays, especially when combined with gusty winds on Thursday.
"The strongest wind gusts could reach 50 mph (80 km/h) in coastal and high elevations of Northern Ireland, northern England, Wales and Scotland," AccuWeather Meteorologist Tyler Roys said.
The rest of England will escape any rainfall on Thursday; however, occasional wind gusts to 30 mph (48 km/h) are possible.
Another storm system will threaten the U.K. with rain and gusty winds this weekend.
