Several shots of bitterly cold air will keep temperatures well below normal this week in Chicago.
After the first wave of cold air moves through the city for the start of the workweek, leaving daytime highs near 10 F, temperatures will rebound on Tuesday with highs in the low 30s. There could be some flurries around on Tuesday afternoon.
A normal high for this time of year in the city is in the upper 30s.
However, another round of cold air will move in during the middle of the week, keeping temperatures in the teens through Thursday. AccuWeather ReelFeel® temperatures will be in the single digits with flurries around on Thursday.

Overnight low temperatures will remain in the single digits through midweek.
By the weekend, temperatures could rebound into the mid-20s.
