DEGREES SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 10 AND LAKE PONTCHARTRAIN...INLAND
FROM THE IMMEDIATE SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA COAST.

* DURATION...5 TO 9 HOURS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WIND CHILL ADVISORY MEANS THAT VERY COLD AIR AND STRONG WINDS
WILL COMBINE TO GENERATE LOW WIND CHILLS.

REMEMBER...MULTIPLE LAYERS OF CLOTHING WILL KEEP YOU WARMER THAN
A SINGLE HEAVY COAT. A HAT IS ALSO IMPORTANT AS 20 PERCENT OF
BODY HEAT LOSS IS THROUGH THE HEAD.

EXPOSED SKIN CAN BEGIN TO SUFFER FROM FROST BITE IF SUBJECTED TO
THESE WIND CHILLS FOR LONG. DRESS ADEQUATELY AND REMEMBER TO WEAR
A HAT AND MITTENS TO PROTECT YOURSELF IF YOU MUST GO OUTSIDE.
