Anyone who must spend time outdoors should dress warmly, making sure not to leave skin exposed to the cold for prolonged periods.
Another chance for snow showers could arrive Thursday afternoon and evening, though little, if any, accumulation is forecast.
The end of the weekend will bring the first signs of relief for the city as temperatures climb into the 20s again.
