REDDING, Calif. — The Clover Fire in northern California was 80 percent contained Friday morning, officials say.
Fire crews have increased their containment of a wildfire that has destroyed nearly 70 homes in Shasta County. There was no change in the tally of homes destroyed.
That number nearly doubled Thursday to 68, as crews got a better assessment of damaged areas.
