More typical air for the middle of May will roll into the Boston area at midweek, but not before a few gusty thunderstorms rumble.
A cold front will bring an end to Boston's recent taste of summer by Wednesday.

In the wake of the front, temperatures will be slashed by about 10 to 15 degrees Fahrenheit on Wednesday, when compared to highs on Tuesday. High temperatures on Wednesday will be in the 60s, but AccuWeather RealFeel® temperatures will be mainly in the 50s due to a breeze.

A high near 65 F and a low in the upper 40s is more common this time of year.
Cool nights are in store Wednesday night and Thursday night. Highs on Thursday and Friday will again be in the 60s.
Latest indications point toward fresh cool air pressing into the Boston area this weekend instead of another surge of warmth.
