Boston to Turn Warmer on Memorial Day

By , Senior Meteorologist

Warmth will make a comeback around the Boston area for the remainder of this Memorial Day holiday weekend, seemingly fitting for the unofficial start to summer.
An area of high pressure building off the coast will open the door for warmer air to surge in.
Low humidity and a partly to mostly sunny sky will compliment the holiday weekend weather.
Thunderstorms threatening to ruin the parades, picnics and other outdoor holiday festivities will remain absent into Memorial Day.

There will be enough sunshine that anyone planning to spend a lengthy amount of time outdoors will want to wear sunscreen.

An end to the warmth will not come with the holiday. Warm and humid air will dominate this week with highs near 80 F on multiple days.
