After a cold Saturday, seasonable temperatures will be the rule through next week in Harrisburg.
Fresh cold air will grip the Harrisburg area on Saturday, causing temperatures to struggle to reach the 30-degree mark despite a good deal of sunshine.
A noticeable change in the weather will come by Sunday as the frigid dome of high pressure shifts eastward and opens the door for milder air to arrive. Temperatures are set to soar into the lower 40s to end the weekend.
Numerous clouds will be overhead, but the Harrisburg will escape being impacted by a coastal storm set to spread rain northward along the mid-Atlantic coast on Sunday before strengthening and unleashing inland snow and coastal rain to New England at night.
Residents planning a trip to Philadelphia or Washington, D.C., will run into rain to end the weekend. Any traveling westward toward State College or Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, will encounter a couple of rain and snow showers from the weakening storm that will feed colder air into the coastal storm.
