Los Angeles residents can expect an increase in temperatures toward the end of the week and into the weekend as heat continues to build.
AccuWeather Meteorologist Dave Samuhel said temperatures will be increasing as desert air floods the area.
Temperatures are expected to be in the upper 90s at the end of the week and are expected to increase to around 100 F by Saturday, which is unseasonably hot for the area.

"These temperatures are really bad news because it hasn't rained in a while in the area, which puts the area at a high risk for wildfires," Samuhel said. "Areas that are prone to the Santa Ana winds should also be aware of the increased risk of wildfires because of the high winds."
Samuhel also said that these temperatures are not unusual for this time of year, but they are above average.
