The Dallas area will see a roller-coaster set of days as temperatures bounce and spotty storms hit the region over the weekend.
Starting Saturday, temperatures will take a dramatic fall from the low 90s into the low 70s. Friday's storms could continue into Saturday morning.
For those attending the State Fair, storms could hinder outdoor activities.
For Saturday's rivalry game of the Texas Longhorns against the Oklahoma Sooners at the Cotton Bowl, lingering storms could cause disruptions.
Tailgaters should stay on high alert for storms moving through in the morning. At the first sign of thunder or lightning, seek indoor shelter.

For the 11 a.m. kickoff, temperatures will be in the upper 60s. Clouds should make way for sunshine late in the game.
For those sticking around the fair into the evening, evening temperatures on Saturday will be in the upper 50s.
Skies will be calmer for Sunday and temperatures will be on the rebound. The expected high is in the low 80s.
Sunday should be clear and sunny to wrap up any weekend plans.
However, any relief from the thunderstorms will be short-lived. Storms could impact the region again by the Monday morning commute.
The storms are not expected to last and clear conditions are expected for much of next week.
