Boston: Storm to Accompany Warmth Into New Week

After a cool weekend around Boston, much of this week will be warm for mid-October, but a potentially very disruptive storm will come calling at midweek.
Temperatures during the middle of October average from a low in the middle 40s F to a high in the lower 60s around Boston.
During much of this week, highs will be at or above these levels and will be in the 70s for a couple of days.
However, a storm forecast to gather strength over the Central states will swing eastward during the middle of the week.

While a southerly flow associated with the storm will help push warmth into the region, winds could begin to affect the region on Wednesday.
The storm system could pack a punch in terms of travel delays and disruptions to outdoor activities from later Wednesday into Wednesday night, especially if the rain is excessive and accompanied by strong winds or severe thunderstorms.

More details on the storm next week will follow on AccuWeather.com.
For leaf peepers, some autumn color was to be found in southern New England and the coastal mid-Atlantic with foliage near peak color in northern New England and upstate New York, according to YankeeFoliage.com.
Interests heading to Bermuda and the Caribbean will want to monitor the tropical weather, now that the Atlantic is showing signs of an uptick in activity.
