Atlanta: Spotty Thunderstorms to Cover the Region for Weekend

Atlanta will get intermittent thunderstorms take hold of the region over the weekend and could disrupt outdoor plans.
Temperatures will linger in the mid-80s. Skies will stay partly sunny until disrupted by storms.
Overnight temperatures will also stay consistent in the upper 60s. Night skies will bring a mix of clouds and some rainfall.

Fans headed to Bobby Dodd Stadium in Atlanta to take in the college football match up of the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets against the Duke Blue Devils should stay on alert for nearby storms.
At the first sign of thunder or lightning, seek indoor shelter immediately.
With a 12:30 p.m. kickoff, thunderstorms could hit the area during the game.
For Atlanta Falcons fans hoping to tailgate before the 4:25 p.m. kickoff against the Chicago Bears, storms could disrupt outdoor celebrations before the game.

With temperatures resting in the mid-80s, conditions could be humid as storms pop up throughout the day.

To kick off the workweek, storms will move out of the region, but conditions will stay humid. Gusty winds could bring in another round of thunderstorms before midweek.
