The last race of the regular season for NASCAR's Spring Cup Series is scheduled at Richmond International Raceway Saturday evening, but rain may have a say.
This is the last chance for drivers to qualify for the post season races and a shot at the 2014 Championship.
The atmosphere will be loaded with moisture this weekend, and a front will push slowly across southern Virginia during the nighttime hours on Saturday.
There is the potential for multiple drenching downpours and a gusty thunderstorm Saturday night, following a hot, humid day on Saturday with temperatures peaking in the lower 90s.

If the race ends up being postponed Saturday night, there will still be the chance of a shower and thunderstorm on Sunday with the associated disruptions. The forward progress of the front is expected to slow down. Temperatures on Sunday will be mainly in the 70s, but humidity levels will remain high.
