Pittsburgh to Stay Humid Into Midweek

Labor Day weekend traditionally marks the unofficial end to summer, but the weather has another idea in mind around Pittsburgh with a prolonged stretch of steamy air underway.
While temperatures will rise into the lower 80s which only a few degrees above normal for early September, high humidity will create a sticky feel to the air.
The humid spell will persist through Tuesday. The combination of the steamy air and another storm system will spark more numerous showers and thunderstorms.

"A cold front will move through the Pittsburgh region on Tuesday bringing a couple of showers and heavy thunderstorms," AccuWeather.com Meteorlogist Brian Edwards said.
Storms will be capable of producing torrential downpours and damaging wind gusts. With the clouds and precipitation around, highs will be limited to around the 80-degree mark.
"After an evening shower or thunderstorm, clouds will break later Tuesday night with lows dropping into the middle 60s," Edwards said.

A reduction in the humidity will finally come on Wednesday, but temperatures will quickly soar once again later in the week.
"Wednesday looks much drier with a good deal of sunshine and lower humidity," Edwards said.
Highs on Wednesday will reach the low 80s.
By Thursday and Friday, drier conditions will remain with a return of sunshine and lower humidity.
