Following a warm, humid start for the first days of September, lower humidity and more pleasant conditions will return to the Pittsburgh area.

Clear skies Wednesday night and comfortable conditions with high pressure in control. Lows will fall toward the 60 F mark with some suburbs falling into the 50s.

The humidity starts to come up on Friday ahead of an approaching cold front.
Highs will be in the upper 80s. An afternoon shower or thunderstorm is possible before more widespread shower and thunderstorm activity moves in Friday night.
"Saturday looks like a much cooler day as the aforementioned front settles over the area," Edwards said.
High temperatures will only reach the lower 70s with showers and thunderstorms are likely.
"Gorgeous weather expected Sunday with sunny skies and highs in the lower 70s," he said.
