Dry weather with seasonable temperatures will persist across Boston and southeast Massachusetts through the day on Tuesday.
High pressure will slowly slide off the New England Coast over the next few days, eventually giving way to increasing moisture by Tuesday night.
Monday will feature plenty of sunshine and high temperatures near the 80-degree mark which is right around average for this time of year.
Tuesday will have some sunshine to start before clouds move in by afternoon. Highs once again will be around 80.
Rain will arrive by late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning and become heavier during the day Wednesday as low pressure develops off the New England coast.

Some of the rain will be heavy on Wednesday and there could also be a few rumbles of thunder. High temperatures will be well below normal, only reaching the lower 70s.
Two to four inches of rain could fall on the Boston area, leading to localized flooding of low lying and poor drainage areas.
Commuters may even have to dodge some detours around any localized flooding problems that develop on Wednesday.

Drier weather moves in for Thursday and Friday, though lingering cold air in the upper part of the atmosphere could generate a spotty shower either day. High temperatures both days will struggle to get out of the lower 70s.
It'll turn warmer by next weekend with highs by Saturday reaching close to 80 degrees.
