Locally gusty, drenching storms will fire in the Boston area at midweek but will be followed by another drop in heat and humidity.
After temperatures flirt with the 90-degree-F mark and AccuWeather.com RealFeel® temperatures peak well into the 90s once again, storms will approach from the northwest and build nearby.
According to AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Dave Dombek, "Most storms will stop short of being severe, but there is a risk of isolated storms downing some trees, causing power outages and producing flash flooding."

Through Tuesday afternoon, the storms are most likely to hit areas north and west of the city.
"It is possible the risk of severe weather splits on Wednesday with one area aiming much farther to the southwest and another area lifting across northern New England," Dombek said.

For people heading to the beach, each day will be warm enough for swimming and the risk of storms will generally be limited to the evening hours Tuesday and Wednesday.
The Tuesday and Wednesday evening games at Fenway Park could be affected by the storms.
During Thursday and Friday, high temperatures are projected to trend to within a few degrees of 80 F with lower humidity, when compared to midweek.
