Places from the Ohio Valley to the St. Lawrence Valley were in the midst
of a blizzard six years ago. Columbus, Ohio, picked up a total of 20.4
inches. The 15.5 inches that fell alone on March 8, 2008, made this day
the city's all-time snowiest. The major storm also brought severe
thunderstorms to the Southeast and heavy rain and flooding to the
Northeast.
