After a chilly first week of March, Atlanta's temperature will begin to feel a bit more like spring is nearing.
Temperatures are expected to top out in the upper 60s for the weekend, a large contrast compared to temperatures this past week, which barely got out of the 40s and 50s.
The average temperature for the month so far is around 4 degrees below normal.
Abundant sunshine can be thanked for some of the warmth, as skies are expected to remain generally clear for the weekend and into early next week.

When the new week rolls around, temperatures are expected to climb into the low to mid-70s, 10 to 15 degrees above normal.

A slight cooldown is expected for Wednesday as a shower or two may dampen the area. Until then, expect dry conditions to remain in place.
