Weather May Cause More Headaches for NLCS Tonight

Following Wednesday's lengthy rain delay, the weather threatens to cause more headaches for the National League Championship Series tonight.
The main cause of headaches for this evening's Game 4 matchup in St. Louis between the city's Cardinals and the San Francisco Giants is gusty winds.
"West to southwest winds averaging 15 to 30 mph are forecast with higher gusts," stated AccuWeather.com Expert Senior Meteorologist Alex Sosnowski.
Winds of that strength could impact movement of fly balls--a problem players in this afternoon's ALCS game between the New York Yankees and Detroit Tigers may also face.
A repeat of the damaging wind gusts that accompanied rain and thunderstorms into St. Louis Wednesday evening and downed trees in a few suburbs, however, is not expected.
The winds will create a noticeable chill in air at Busch Stadium. While actual temperatures fall through the 50s from the first pitch to the last out, AccuWeather.com RealFeel® temperatures will drop through the 40s.
Making this evening even less ideal to be outside watching or playing baseball will be the arrival of a little rain.
The adjective "little" should be stressed when describing the rain headed to St. Louis for this evening. The rain should only lightly dampen the field and will pale in comparison to the downpour that forced Wednesday's 3.5-hour rain delay.
