US National Weather Forecast for October 6,2012

Here's the US National Weather Forecast for Saturday,October 6,2012, as of 10AM,EDT/ 7AM,PDT,October 6,2012,from weatherunderground.com,enjoy:

Wet weather continues in the East as a cold front in eastern Canada continues
pushing a cold front across the Eastern U.S. on Saturday. This system will kick
up scattered showers and thunderstorms from the Northeast, through the Ohio
River Valley, and into the Tennessee Valley. Severe storms are not anticipated
along this front but it has a history of producing strong winds and hail. Expect
cold air to continue to pour into the East behind this system, with highs
dropping by 10 to 20 degrees as this front passes. This system will bring a
chilly weekend to most of the Midwest and East with highs ranging in the 50s and
overnight lows in the lower 30s. Thus, frost and freeze advisories will spread
from the Central and Southern Plains into the Midwest and Eastern Valleys. Along
the northern side of this system, expect some lake effect snow showers to
develop along downwind shores of the Great Lakes.

Behind this activity, a cool air and moisture lingering over the Northern and
Central Rockies will allow for a few more snow showers to develop through
Wyoming and Colorado. Snowfall totals may reach up to 6 inches in the mountains.

Meanwhile in the South, showers and thunderstorms will persist across Florida,
southern Georgia, and the shores of the Carolinas. The tail end of a weakening
frontal boundary lingers over the region and pulls moisture and energy in from
the Gulf of Mexico. Severe storms and heavy rainfall are not anticipated in
these areas.
