Here's the US National Weather Forecast for Wednesday,October 3,2012,as of 7:30AM,EDT/ 4:30AM,PDT,October 3,2012,from weatherunderground.com,enjoy:
In the East, a broad trough of low pressure will remain in place and
continue to support scattered showers and thunderstorms from the Florida
Peninsula northward through the Mid-Atlantic and New England. In
addition, in the back of the low pressure center, showers and
thunderstorms will gradually increase throughout the day across the Ohio
Valley and Great Lakes. Parts of Michigan can expect moderate to
locally heavy rains later in the day.
Moving to the North, the cold front that dropped south into the Northern
Plains Tuesday will continue to sag southeast into the Central Plains
and Upper Midwest by Wednesday evening. Expect widespread rain and
mountain snow to develop behind the cold front from the Northern Rockies
eastward across the Northern and Central Plains. Snow accumulations are
expected less than a foot above 4000 feet. Wind gusts are possible to
30mph, causing areas of blowing snow and reduced visibilities. Rain is
expected to change to snow Wednesday night into Thursday morning across
portions of North Dakota and northern Minnesota. By Thursday morning,
precipitation should spread eastward across the Upper Midwest.
Out West, a strong ridge of high pressure will slide eastward, allowing a
trough of low pressure to approach the coast. This will result in much
cooler weather and more low clouds and fog across California Coast.
Inland areas should see a gradual cool down from Wednesday into the
weekend.
