Here's the US National Weather Forecast for Saturday,October 20,2012,as of 11AM,EDT/ 8AM,PDT, October 20,2012,from weatherunderground.com,enjoy:
Rain and snow persists in the Northwest, while showers and thunderstorms
diminish in the East. Out West, a low pressure system over western
Canada will continue pushing a cold front over the Pacific Northwest.
This system will pull moisture onshore from the Pacific Ocean, while
also pulling cool air in from the north. This will allow for rain
showers to across Oregon and Washington, with snow showers developing at
high elevations of the Cascades. Snowfall accumulation will range from 4
to 8 inches above 3,000 feet across the Cascades on Saturday. Lower
elevations will see rainfall totals ranging from 0.50 to 1.00 inches.
Precipitation from this system will advance eastward into the
Intermountain West and Northern Rockies through the weekend.
In the East, a strong low pressure system lifts northeastward and into
eastern Canada. This will pull a cold front eastward with it, allowing
for showers and thunderstorms to end across the East. The northern side
of this system will bring a few more showers to the extreme Northeast,
while the back side of this system will allow for widespread showers to
persist across parts of the Great Lakes and Midwest. Rainfall totals
will be light in most areas, except for parts of Maine which may see up
to an inch of rain. High pressure builds in behind this system and
creates dry and sunny conditions for most of the Plains and the Eastern
Valleys.
