Here's the US National Weather Forecast for Saturday,October 13,2012,as of 11:30AM,EDT/ 8:30AM,PDT,October 13,2012,from weatherunderground.com,enjoy:
The main weather feature in the country on Saturday will be a developing
storm that will race out of the Rockies and through the Plains. This
storm will intensify significantly as the day progresses, pulling a
tremendous amount of moisture northward from the Gulf of Mexico. This
moisture will translate to moderate to heavy precipitation from central
Texas through the Upper Midwest and Great Lakes. All of this
precipitation will fall as rain, but dangerous thunderstorms will also
be of note. The Storm Prediction Center has issued a slight risk of
severe weather from central Texas through southern Wisconsin due to the
chance some of these thunderstorms becoming severe. Residents in this
region should monitor local weather conditions and be prepared to
protect life and property.
Even if severe weather does not develop, many areas from the Plains
through the Great Lakes can expect areas of heavy rain that could total
several inches by the time the main cold front passes.
Meanwhile, a Pacific storm will provide rain from the coasts of Washington and Oregon through western Montana.
In addition, cool air behind the storm in the Plains will provide some high elevation snow in the Colorado Rockies.
By the end of Saturday, a warm front will begin moving into the
Northeast. There is the possibility that a few snow showers could fall
over northern New England, while moderate rain is possible into the
evening and overnight through New England.
The Northeast will be cool with temperatures in the 40s, 50s, and some
60s, while the Southeast will see temperatures in the 70s and 80s for
the most part. The Northern Plains will rise into the 60s and 70s, while
the Northwest will see similar temperatures.
