Extended Stretch of Warm, Dry Weather For Philadelphia

A zone of high pressure currently centered in the Carolinas will send a surge of unseasonably warm air into the region this week, allowing temperatures to rise into the 70s for residents of Philadelphia.
Sunshine and breezy conditions will prevail on Monday to start off the work week. Pleasant afternoon temperatures will rise to near 70.
Then a warm front will lift through the area Tuesday into Tuesday night and that will bring a period of cloudiness and perhaps a shower or two to the area. The best chance for any showers should remain north of the Delaware Valley though.
Behind that warm front, winds will turn more southerly and temperatures will spike in the middle to upper 70s for Wednesday and Thursday.
Temperatures may even approach record values on Thursday and Friday when the record highs are 76 and 78 respectively.
Expect mild temperatures to continue right into the first part of next weekend.
