Record-challenging heat is expected to build across Germany early in the coming week.
High pressure centered to the east of Germany will continue to pull warm air northward from France and the Mediterranean while also shielding the region from any significant rainfall.
Temperatures will average 4-8 C (7-14 F) above normal across Germany on Sunday before even more intense heat arrives early in the coming week.
Temperatures will soar to as much as 12 C (22 F) above normal across parts of Germany from Monday into Wednesday.
The most intense heat is expected on Tuesday when some locations between Stuttgart and Frankfurt to Berlin could break record high temperatures.
High temperatures will reach or exceed 30 C (86 F) in many locations with some of the warmest locations experiencing 32 C (90 F) heat.
High temperatures in Frankfurt and Berlin will range from 29-31 C (84-87 F) each day through the middle of the coming week.
Along with the largely dry and warm weather, partly to mostly sunny skies are expected each day.

The combination of warm and dry weather will yield pleasant conditions for anyone going to events this weekend such as the Rheingau Wine Festival in Frankfurt or Reichsstadt Festival in Rothenburg.
Anyone spending time outdoors should remember to drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.
While Sunday will be another warm day for Bundesliga matches, a few thunderstorms will develop during the afternoon. Most areas will remain dry from Hamburg to Berlin and Munich, but if thunder is heard, seek shelter.
Widespread dry weather is expected once again during the first half of the coming week.
"In fact, most of the upcoming week will be rain-free throughout all of Germany," AccuWeather Meteorologist Tyler Roys said.
