This week's scorching weather is set to last over the weekend as well.
On average, temperatures are 5-7°C hotter than average for this time of year. In some regions, temperatures could climb as high as 30°C.
On Saturday, Jeju Island and southern regions are likely to get a spot of rain due to the presence of a band of low pressure far out at sea which will traverse the South Coast. Expected rainfall is between 1 and 5 mm.
Most regions of the country will get a little cloud cover, but after a short while, it is expected to become bright once again.
The gradual rise in temperatures that we have been experiencing will not be mirrored throughout the whole day; in fact, there will be a noticeable difference in temperatures between morning and daytime. Despite even the lowest temperatures rising a bit, this daily range in temperatures is expected to persist for the next couple of weeks.
