LIVE UPDATES: Tornado Threat Ahead for Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois

April 8,2015

An active day of severe weather has already begun over parts of the Plains and Midwest, and the danger is only expected to increase this afternoon and evening as new thunderstorms could rapidly turn severe and produce tornadoes, a few of which could be strong and/or long-lived. Today's storms are part of a multi-day severe weather event affecting at least one-third of the U.S. population.
