After a warm start to the week in Harrisburg, a turn to cool and dreary weather will occur by midweek.
"For the longest time, people were waiting for signs of warmth. Now that it is here, those hoping the warmth stays will not like the outcome this week," stated Chief Meteorologist Elliot Abrams. "Chilly, gray and dreary conditions will be taking over."
The air will stay warm on Tuesday, but residents should grab their umbrellas before heading to work or school as showers will return.
Jackets will be the next thing that will have to be pulled out of the closet on Wednesday. As occasional rain and drizzle persists, cooler air will plunge down from the northeast and hold temperatures to the 40s.

The chilly and dreary weather will persist through Thursday.

Outdoor plans may be forced indoors, while some sporting events and activities could be postponed.

Abrams had one more positive spin on the impending chill and dreary conditions. "It will be perfect weather to finish your taxes since there will be no temptation to go outside," he said.
Temperatures will rebound on Friday, but an approaching cold front will not allow Friday to turn out dry.
