Mostly Sunny Skies for Last Full Weekend of Summer in Atlanta

This weekend will be the last full weekend of summer before fall is ushered in on Sept. 22, and conditions should be favorable for spending some time outdoors.

While humidity levels and temperatures will remain seasonably high and hot, a cold front crossing the area on Friday will level out temperatures in the upper 80s. There will be an isolated risk for a shower or thunderstorm Friday, but long-lasting or widespread storms are not expected.
The cold front will bring a more refreshing air mass to Atlanta on Saturday with lower humidity, plenty of sunshine and temperatures closer to 80 degrees for the high. The drop in humidity for the weekend should create more comfortable conditions for players and fans as the Braves host the Padres.

Sunday will also feature partly sunny skies and highs in the low 80s. Overnight lows through Sunday will stay in the mid-60s, and nighttime skies will see increased cloud coverage compared to the daytime hours.
