A push of cooler and less humid air spread across Detroit and southeastern Lower Michigan Labor Day afternoon.
Several days of abundant sunshine are in store Tuesday through Friday.
The nights will be crisp and cool and the afternoons will be warm.
Many people will be able to turn off the fans and air conditioners with temperatures in urban areas dropping well down into the 50s at night.
Many rural areas will have night time temperatures dipping toward 50 degrees and even the 40s in some cases.
Each day Tuesday through Friday will highs generally in the 70s to near 80 degrees.

The only potential, weather-related travel problem would be patchy early-morning fog for long-distance commuters each morning Wednesday through Friday. Some major highways that could be impacted by fog include I-69, I-75, I-94, I-96 and Route 23.
