A line of severe storms caused damage in southeastern Texas Tuesday morning, including near the Houston metro area.
Roof
damage to homes and businesses was reported near Stafford, Texas, due
to a possible tornado, the National Weather Service said. A brief
tornado was also reported south of Rosenburg, Texas. Both of those
locations are southwest of Houston.
It was not immediately known
how many structures were damaged in the storms. Photos from the Fort
Bend County Sheriff's Office showed damage to the Bridlewood
subdivision, located east of Rosenburg.

CenterPoint energy reported that near 21,000 customers lost power in the Houston metro area as of 8:45 a.m. CST.
In Van Vleck, Texas, recreational vehicles were flipped and one home was damaged along a path approximately a mile long.
The
severe weather threat has ended for Houston, but other parts of the
Gulf Coast and Southeast could see more storm weather through Wednesday.
