The steadiest rain from a developing coastal storm will target eastern parts of the Carolinas on Monday.
Coastal locations from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, to Wilmington, North Carolina, to Norfolk, Virginia, will be impacted by clouds and rain on Monday.
"Rain is forecast for the Outer Banks on Monday, with only light showers possible for Cape Cod on Tuesday," said AccuWeather.com Senior Meteorologist Alan Reppert.
The cities along the I-95 corridor will be missed by the rain.
In addition to rain along the coast, winds will increase as this storm strengthens along the Eastern Seaboard. Wind gusts of 20 mph are possible along the Outer Banks on Monday.
A noticeable breeze will also kick up across Cape Cod on Tuesday.

"Although the rain and wind will remain right along the coast, much of the mid-Atlantic and New England could see an increase in clouds with this system nearby," stated Reppert.
There will be a few more clouds along the I-95 corridor from Washington, D.C., to Boston late on Monday into Tuesday.
Daytime temperatures will drop closer to seasonable levels with this increase in cloud cover.
In the storm's wake, temperatures are forecast to rebound late this week. High temperatures could reach 5-15 degrees above normal for the second weekend of December.
