France: Rain Spreads Into the North Friday; Dry and Mild Elsewhere

Following several days of dry weather, a weak area frontal boundary will bring rainfall to northern France Thursday night into Friday.
Rainfall will generally average less than 6 mm (0.25 inch) and be confined to areas north and west of Paris.
Elsewhere, high pressure centered over central Europe will continue to promote dry weather and above-normal temperatures.

While the approaching storm will bring partly to mostly cloudy skies to northern France on Thursday, sunshine is expected in southern France.
Clouds will increase into Friday with mostly cloudy skies in northern France and a mixture of clouds and sunshine in central and southern parts of the country.
Temperatures will remain above normal country-wide on Thursday and Friday.

High temperatures will range from 7-11 C (45-52 F) in northeast France on Thursday with high temperatures of 10-15 C (50-59 F) elsewhere.
Temperatures will generally be 1-2 C (2-4 F) higher on Friday in central and southern parts of the country with similar temperatures expected in northern areas.
Another frontal boundary will bring the threat for showers to far northern France this weekend while the remainder of the country experiences dry and mild weather.
