Temperatures will be on the rise through the end of the week and into the weekend across the Great Lakes.
Warm air surging into the region will be practically coming from the tropics, with records being challenged by Saturday and Sunday, AccuWeather Meteorologist Evan Duffey said.

"Unfortunately, this-time-of-year record warmth is generally associated with unsettled weather," Duffey said. "While the weekend will be quite warm, it should be cloudy much of the time as the storm bringing the warmth northward will be knocking on the door with some wetter weather as well."
As a result, Thursday and Friday will be the nicer times for outdoor activities.
Any rains won't cause a total washout for holiday events such as the the 14th Annual Store in Cleveland Heights, sponsored by Heights Arts.
