July 23,2015

Highlights:

  • Tropical Depression Seven-E has formed about 430 miles southwest of Los Cabos, Mexico.
  • T.D. Seven-E is being hampered by northerly wind shear, displacing thunderstorms slightly from the center of circulation.
  • Therefore, Seven-E has only a limited window to strengthen into Tropical Storm Felicia into Friday.
  • By late Friday, the system will experience two more negative factors: dry, stable air and cooler sea-surface temperatures.
  • This system is expected to move northwest through Friday, then bend west this weekend, degenerating to a remnant low.
  • There is no threat to land.
